Steel Casing Pipe Appearance
The casing pipe's section shape is round. It is usually fixed by cement to protect other equipment, mostly made of iron and steel. The oil well must be designed to withstand the different types of external forces, such as crushing, exploding, stress, and chemical corrosion. During the well drilling process, when the casing is inserted into the well bore, it stabilizes the well bore perfectly.
Steel Casing Pipe Application
API 5CT casing pipe is used to support the oil and gas pipe wall and to ensure the normal operation of the drilling process and the post-completion wells. Each well, depending on the depth of drilling and geological conditions, requires several layers of casing. After the casing is cemented, it cannot be reused unlike tubing and drill pipe, making it a one-time consumable material. Therefore, the casing consumption accounts for over 70% of all oil well pipes. According to its usage, it can be divided into sleeve pipe, surface casing, production casing, and casing.
